What affects the cost of a CCTV system?

• Number of channels: a 4-camera system costs far less than a 16-camera setup, because every camera adds hardware, cable and installation time.
• Camera type: basic 2MP analog cameras are cheaper than 4K ColorVu or AcuSense AI cameras.
• Recorder and storage: the DVR or NVR channel count and the hard drive size set how many days of footage you keep.
• Cabling and accessories: coaxial or network cable runs, connectors and power supplies. Long runs and ceilings that are hard to reach cost more.
• Power backup: a UPS keeps the recorder and cameras running through power cuts, which matters in most of Maputo and Matola.
• Remote viewing: watching on your phone needs a stable internet line and a router set up correctly.
• Installation: professional mounting, configuration, testing and training.

How many days of recording do you need?

Storage is the item people forget. More cameras and higher resolution fill a drive faster, so the same drive that keeps several weeks of a small 2MP system may keep only days of a large 4K one. What pushes a quote up or down

Things that usually lower the total:

• reusing cable routes or trunking that is already in place;
• cameras on walls and ceilings that can be reached with a normal ladder;
• a ready-made kit instead of mixed models;
• one recorder in a central spot, close to the router.

Things that usually raise it:

• long cable runs between buildings, or cable buried across a yard;
• poles or high walls that need scaffolding;
• AI analytics, colour at night or number plate cameras on every position;
• extra monitors for a guard post or a manager's office.

How long is a quotation valid?
